age of five. She began competing on the A circuit at the age of ten and spent
years at top show barns. Sarah has successfully competed and ribboned at
numerous prestigious competitions across the country, including the Winter
Equestrian Festival, Kentucky National, and Hampton Classic. Additionally,
as a junior rider, she qualified for the Maclay Regionals, Medal Finals,
the Syracuse Invitational Equitation Top 100

Sarah also trained with nationally renowned Grand Prix Dressage trainer
Brad Cutshall.
Sarah has been teaching and riding professionally since 2007 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2009. Upon graduation, Sarah joined the team at Oakland Hills Farm. Sarah now functions as the director of the riding school, teaches lessons to beginner through advanced riders, and trains and competes with clients’ and the farms’ show and sale horses.
Lauren Nassar came to Oakland Hills Farm in 2004 and has been riding under the
guidance of head trainer Tim Sullivan since then. In 2008, she became a working
student at the farm, shadowing trainer Tim Sullivan, as well as learning the
intricacies of proper daily horse care, veterinary follow up, and supporting
health and quality performance in equine athletes. The following year, she
became head show groom, overseeing all details of the farm’s organization
and horse care while on the road. In addition to her extensive knowledge
of horse care, Lauren has extensive experience in riding and training young
and problem horses and serves as our resident “pony trainer”. Lauren currently
functions as barn manager and director of equestrian activities while pursuing
a Bachelors Degree from Oakland University.
